Last year I started to have a go on leathercraft mainly for the tool rolls I make and I found myself fascinated with the variety of hand tools you can use for different tasks when you work with this amazing material.
I find more and more people in NZ quite keen to have a go on leather craft, so I wanted to share the work of this particular craftsman from UK at "Equus Leather". If you watch these videos, you will appreciate how clean and quiet he is.
Look how freaking spotless his workbench and fingernails are!!!  Notice he doesn't need to wear protective eye wear, a respirator, noise-canceling headphones or gloves. This looks like heavenly work to us.

For those looking at a good site with lots of tutorials about tools for working with leather, techniques and much more, check Ian Atkinson's website. Plenty of info here.

Cheers

Gaston
