This traditional Japanese-style Chamfer Plane is a precision tool that enables consistently accurate and repeatable chamfering. The planes body is constructed from a combination of Mahogany and Afzelia Quanzensis (also known in the trade as Chamfuta), a wood known for exceptional stability that is sourced from Angola, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. The blade is made from O1 oil-hardened steel and heat-treated to aircraft-grade specifications. Fences are secured with stainless steel button-head screws and knurled nuts of brass. Lightweight and portable, the plane is perfect for the fine woodworker, furniture-maker, or even more refined builder, and can make chamfers up to 12 mm wide. Its angle is 25° and it can be honed to 30°. Setting is easy - one simply pushes down the blade after loosening the cap screws, then re-tightens them without having to take the plane out of the fence

  • Blade thickness: 3 mm (~1/8")
  • Blade width: 18.5 mm (~47/64")
  • Overall length: 110 mm (~4 21/64")
