Description
The Small Carving Axe is used for woodworking and shaping wood where precision and control are especially important. The smaller size makes the axe perfect for those who have just started carving or prefer a lighter tool.
The handle is made from hickory and is slightly thicker than the walnut handle used in the limited edition version, an adjustment made based on customer feedback.
Perfect for those who:
- Are beginners in carving or prefer a tool that is easy to handle over longer periods
- Want a smaller, lighter carving axe for increased precision and control
- Want an edge grind adapted to their carving style.
The model is based on the Large Carving Axe, developed in collaboration with master craftsmen Wille Sundqvist and Onni Linnanheimo, inspired by traditional carving axes, but scaled to about 80% of the original size.
The Small Carving Axe has a relatively long, curved cutting edge and comes as standard with a double-sided sharpened edge.
- Item no: 471
- Hickory handle
- Length with handle: 28,5 cm
- Weight: 0,640 kg
- Sheath in vegetable-tanned leather
