Description
The Chopstick maker set allows anybody, regardless of experience, age 8 and up, to make a pair of gallery quality Japanese Chopsticks. Each chopstick starts out as a 240mm x 8mm square blank. When completed, it becomes a gracefully tapered chopstick. The finish of the wood, because it was cut with a block plane, is as smooth as you can make wood. The final touch could be done using Philip Marcou chamfer plane to put a small chamfer on the edges. It is possible for one’s very first woodworking project to be perfect even by someone with ZERO woodworking skills. The Chopstick set comes complete with enough blanks to make 50 pairs of chopsticks, a japanese handplane, sand paper and a rubber mat. Over a period of time, as you make more and more chopsticks, the initial cost of the unit becomes almost negligible. A great opportunity to make something with your hands to use and make chopsticks to give away. For those of you who have a creative voice that needs to be heard, chopsticks make a great platform for expression. They can be painted, air-brushed, gilded, lacquered, embellished, and the list goes on. They make terrific gifts. The Chopstick maker set includes:
- 1 x Chopstick Jig
- 1 x Japanese hand plane 42mm
- 100 x Blanks ( 50 pairs)
- 1 x Rubber mat
- sandpaper #120 grit
