The shape of the knife blade is optimized for filleting. The inversed gut opener lets you open the gut and perform the zipping process smoothly and safely. This is a tried and proven design and concept and has an ergonomically designed and formed handle for an exceptional grip and feel in the user’s hand. Quickly switch between the filleting and the gutting blades with a simple fluid motion when the lock button is depressed. Made with high quality renowned Swedish Steel 12C27 and hardened to 57 – 59 HRC which helps to achieve a durable edge and maintain sharpness. Also, it has an eyelet to attach a lanyard to keep your Duo safe in your hand while operating.
Alleima® 12C27 is a martensitic (high-strength iron alloy containing 12–18% chromium and 0.1–1.2% carbon, designed for maximum hardness and wear resistance via heat treatment) stainless chromium steel with an optimized analysis for high quality professional knife applications. After heat treatment, the composition of carbon and chromium gives a unique combination of properties including:
- Very high hardness
- Good corrosion resistance
- Very high wear resistance
Typical applications for Alleima® 12C27 are hunting and fishing knives, pocket knives, skate blades and ice drills.

Our warehouse is based in Nelson, New Zealand and all transactions are charged in New Zealand dollars. All shipping is charged at $NZD10 non rural and $NZD14 rural including GST for shipping anywhere within New Zealand excluding Great Barrier Island, Waiheke island, Chatham islands, d'Urville Island and Stewart Island.
All goods from a single order will be shipped together. If several orders have been made on the same day, by the same person, to the same delivery address, we will do our best to combine those orders into one shipment unless otherwise instructed.
Shipping is free of charge within New Zealand for all overs $450NZD excluding some Hikoki, Mafell, Tormek, Tanos, Metabo and Virutex. Free shipping is excluding Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, Chatham islands, d'Urville Island and Stewart Island.
