Description

This Primus Shoulder Plane with Lignum Vitae Sole (ECE) is a collectible handtool that is no longer in production, with only one available for purchase. It is highly recommended for creating and perfecting rabbets, as well as adjusting tenons and hand rails. The backlash-free blade adjustment is made possible by a knurled screw, and the mouth opening can be adjusted using a grout and wing nut.

The durable hornbeam body is a signature of E.C.E. Planes, a traditional German manufacturer known for their tried-and-tested cabinetmaker's planes. The soles are made of lignum vitae wood and are extremely wear-resistant, providing a smooth sliding action due to its self-lubricating effect. The blades are already sharpened and set for immediate use, with a cutting angle of 50° (except for the toothing plane). Our warehouse is based in Nelson, New Zealand, and all transactions are charged in New Zealand dollars.

Shipping within New Zealand is charged at NZD $15 (non-rural) or NZD $17 (rural), including GST, for most products (some exceptions apply). This excludes Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island, the Chatham Islands, D'Urville Island, and Stewart Island.

All items from a single order will be shipped together. If multiple orders are placed on the same day, by the same person, to the same delivery address, we will do our best to combine them into one shipment, unless otherwise instructed.
