Incredible Woodworker and his Workshop

Quite often I am looking for stories of people that will inspire me, and I am sure this short piece will probably motivate and inspire you as well. This is the story about Ed Wohl.

Click on the pictures to watch the video.

*Make sure you watch the video right to the end after the credits - it's worth it...

Master woodworker and designer Edward Wohl graduated from Washington University in 1967 with a BS degree in Architecture. He has been designing and building graceful wood furniture since 1970, and has been greatly influenced by a summer spent in the home and workshop of California woodworker Sam Maloof.

For more than 40 years, Edward has designed and built exquisite custom furniture from select woods, and his signature line of bird's-eye maple cutting boards is available internationally through high-end galleries and specialty shops.

Edward's work is known for its masterful design, seamless joinery and liquid-smooth finish. Every piece is gorgeous, but is also eminently useful and intended to be a part of your daily life.

After watching the video it might make you wish you had a lifestyle like Ed's, but at the same time it just might impress you to be inspired enough to follow your own dreams and ambitions about being creative. Hope you enjoyed it...

Cheers, Gaston
